One day in Palma, we’ve received thousands of people from cruises during the summer, the beginning of autumn is foreseen busy as well. Every day arrives in Palma a high number of visitors disembark, visit the city and leave it. That means shops, bars, restaurants and different tourist companies are waiting hopefully.

If you come by cruise one day in Palma, don’t lose your time and check our plan: visit the city in one day! You can see and visit the most important buildings and places in Palma! Walkthrough the old town, eat in some good and cosy restaurants, visit some buildings and end the day doing some shops. A busy day, very useful though.
VISIT PALMA DE MALLORCA THROUGH OUR EYES
We suggest to the visitor going to Parc de la Mar surrounding the sea promenade. It’s a fantastic first contact with the city, receiving the sea breeze and enjoying the views. At 11:00 you can join our Free tour: a walking tour through the old town of Palma, visiting the main buildings and discovering the history and legends of Palma thanks to our official guides. The free walking tour ends at Plaza España at 13:00. The visitor can walk over there while you’re looking for a place to eat and recharge your energies!

After eating, the tourist can go to Born promenade and Jaume II Avenue area, where he will see and visit the most exclusive shops of Palma. Not so far from there, is La Lonja, an extraordinary building, one of the most significant civil gothic buildings of Mallorca.
Then can be interesting walking up to Museu des Baluard, the Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma. Building and museum are notable; it’s worth coming in and contemplating how a modern building has adapted to a 17th bastion. An alternative option is to visit the Castell de Bellver, on a hillside. One of the most extraordinary gothic castles in Europe is one of the four-round shape gothic castles in Europe. It’s quite interesting to visit it because of the architecture, the history museum and above all the views, those are completely amazing!

Depending on the departure time, a perfect plan for dinner is a restaurant on the seaside promenade or in Santa Catalinas neighbourhood. A trending area in Palma nowadays, near the Mercat de Santa Catalina. It is full of cosy and charming restaurants and bars. And finally, it can be a great idea to walk back to the harbour, when the nightlife and the enlighten bay and buildings are perfect.
