It refers to when a person has the feeling that he\/she has done something amazing, but for the rest of the people it is not a great thing, it is nonsense.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cSortir del foc per anar al caliu\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It means that a problem or trouble gets worse. It could something like \u201cchange one evil for another\u201d or \u201cfrom the frying pan to the fire\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cTens gana? It refers to the time between afternoon and evening, the moment when the sun goes down.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Caramull&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It refers to the amount and it means \u201ca lot of\u201d or \u201cplenty of\u201d, \u201cmany\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Tiberi&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Many and tasty foods. It can be translated as \u201cbeanfeast\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cBosses tristes\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">it is a synonym of the poor.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cXitxero, pitxo, estiragassons o p\u00e8sols\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">All of these words mean \u201cpeas\u201d. Each of them is used in different areas of Mallorca. The word&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">p\u00e8sol<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;is used on the western part of Mallorca and according to Corominas comes from the Latin \u201cpisulu\u201d.&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">X\u00edtxero<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;appears documented for the first time in 1881 and you can hear it as well in some places in Spain as&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ch\u00edcharo<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The word&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">pitxo<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;is a mix between&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">p\u00e8sol<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;and&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">x\u00edtxero<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;and you will hear it in Santa Margalida and Ariany.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">And finally,&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">estiragass\u00f3<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, quite typical from Felanitx area, it is, in fact, a verb&nbsp;<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">estiragarssar<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;that means to shell or to peel the peas.
